Amber Mills

Dr Amber Mills is the Policy and Research Manager at the Australian Association of Gerontology (AAG). As the peak national body linking researchers and professionals who work across the multidisciplinary fields of ageing, Amber works with AAG members to promote evidence-based policy and practice reforms to improve the experience of ageing. Amber has held research and project management roles in acute health, community nursing and community service settings. She completed her PhD at the University of Sydney and has research and policy interests in how older people access health, aged care, and disability services. She is committed to advancing knowledge in health, social and aged care services through peer-reviewed publications, policy submissions, industry reports, grant applications and presentations across academia, industry and community. Her work is strongly underpinned by consultation and co-design, inclusive of diverse voices, and achieving consensus for thoughtful development of evidence-based government policy and practice improvements.
