Cilla Haywood
Associate Professor Cilla Haywood is a Consultant Geriatrician and Obesity Physician in Melbourne. She obtained a PhD looking at management of obesity in older persons back in 2016. She works at Austin Health in geriatric medicine and the weight control clinic, and as a geriatrician in the Victorian Virtual Emergency Department. Her current clinical interests are in perioperative shared decision making in older people, medical management of obesity in people with complex health issues, and the geriatric emergency department. Her research interests are in evaluating new models of care for older adults, and in examining the effect of new obesity medications on older people. She lives in Northcote with her husband and young son. She does CrossFit and what she lacks in ability she makes up for in enthusiasm and consistency.
