Bernard Yap

Dr Bernard Yap graduated from Duke- NUS Medical School with a Doctor of Medicine in 2016. Prior to that, he graduated from National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) (Biomedical Science) and was previously working as a clinical research associate in a pharmaceutical company. He has experiences in managing global clinical trials and spearheaded investigator-initiated trials in the hospital. He joined the Singheath Internal Medicine Residency Program from 2016- 2019 and won the Singhealth Best Medical Officer Award in 2020. He subsequently completed the Geriatric Medicine residency program in June 2023 to become an accredited geriatrician. His key area of interest includes Dementia and Behaviour and Psychological Symptoms in Dementia and community care for the elderly. Bernard hopes to continue his passion in research as a geriatrician in Changi General Hospital by leveraging on his experience in clinical trial management.
