Skin ageing reflects more than chronology — it mirrors systemic health, cumulative environmental exposure, and the effects of medical intervention. This presentation will explore the dermatologic findings in older adults that matter most in geriatric practice, from common skin conditions that drive morbidity and quality-of-life impairment, to high-risk and potentially life-threatening lesions where early recognition can be life-saving. The talk will also highlight situations in which the skin provides an early window into underlying systemic disease, medication harm, or physiological vulnerability, and how careful skin assessment can inform broader clinical reasoning and decision-making in geriatric care.
